Handmade Greeting Card - Hebridean Sheep and Vintage Tractor

A beautiful handmade greeting card featuring 2 woolly Hebridean sheep with an old grey Ferguson tractor. The sheep are hand finished with real Hebridean sheep's wool which making a very special card and a delight to feel as well as see!

This is an ancient breed of sheep originating from Scotland and the Western Isles which be descended from stock brought over from Scandinavia by the Vikings. It is multi horned, sometimes having as many as 4 or 6 horns, with a black fleece, often bleaching to brown in the sun, and sometimes turning grey with age. Their foraging ability and ability to thrive on poorer land makes them ideally suited to conservation grazing projects - they can be seen in parks and reserves all across the country nowadays. Although not at risk, they are on the Watch list of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, as one of Britain's ancient sheep breeds. There is a short description of the breed on the reverse of the card

It can be kept and mounted in a 4" x 6" photo frame if so desired making a lovely little picture and reminder for the recipient.
