Sheep with Gates
A delightful picture from Penny Lindop with a woolly sheep and gates. The sheep are hand finished using real sheep’s wool.
The background paper for this print is a paper made by hand in the Himalayan mountains. It is made from the bark fibre of the lokta plant which grows at high altitude in the Himalayan forests. This fibre is a renewable resource. Plants are cropped above ground level and regrow from the radial root. They can be reharvested after 3-4 years. Thus, no trees used. It is quite a dark paper, but suits the colours of these sheep beautifully.
