It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

As you may know, Penny has just returned from a very busy, but equally fun, two weeks in London doing the Christmas shows. Not only does she enjoy meeting some of our lovely customers, she also loves taking a look around the shows and meeting some other brilliant exhibitors.  First up was The Country Living Magazine's Christmas Fair, where she sought out Jenny Burt, who hand makes gorgeous little wooden decorations and signs and has also launched her first book on woodworking. A very talented lady with a saw!
Jennifer Burt Star Garland
The colours of this cute little star garland match perfectly with our dining room…maybe I’ll have to put it on my Christmas list! Another one of Penny's favourites was Twool (anything to do with wool is bound to get her attention, especially if it's in her brand colours!).  Twool produce twine made from….wool! Wool is incredibly practical for this use, as it is very strong and durable, it is also kind to plants due to how soft it is. I think this would make a very unusual gift for any gardeners out there! And I'm sure there are some crafty folk out there who will want to crochet or knit with it too.
After a hectic few days at Country Living, Penny quickly packed up and headed off to Spirit of Christmas, where she found yet more wonderful exhibitors and products. She really likes the designs by Pure Lana, who were opposite her last year. They use natural fibres such as wool, hemp and even nettle, to create beautiful bags, cushions, throws, and a whole lot more.
I agree with Penny and think one of these bags would look really good under the Christmas tree this year (hint hint! Except that I shan't be at home this year.) Another busy exhibitor, who also did both shows, was Paul Williams from Woods World Wide. We see Paul a lot as we are both from Norfolk and seem to be bumping into each other at various different events. If you know any keen cooks, then why not think about a beautiful wooden chopping board that is 100% food safe as a Christmas gift, or if there are any letter writers out there, Woods World Wide also have a wonderful range of fountain pens that are lovely to write with!
If you were at either of these Christmas shows, do let us know your favourites! Today's post: with love from Emma in Taiwan (and very sad to have missed both shows)
