Woolly sheep and animal art take a trip to the Spring Fair trade
Penny Lindop Designs at Spring Fair Birmingham 2016[/caption] January and February are tough, but exciting, months in the gift industry, following on so closely from Christmas. We go to 2 trade shows during this time, and tomorrow is the day I set off for the International Spring Fair at the NEC Birmingham. Despite the hard work, I love the shows and love meeting so many interesting retailers and designers. People travel so far to attend the shows, either as exhibitor or visitor, and the stories you hear are fascinating. The build up to a show is lengthy. New designs need to be planned early (to be honest, I'm not good at this. New designs happen when they come into my head, or when someone suggests something to me); the display needs attention - what needs changing from last year, what needs a touch up of paint, that sort of thing. I always seem to be changing my stand just slightly - always looking for ways of making the build up and break down easier! This year I will have some help setting up which will be fab. The photo shows how we looked last year (Apologies for the duplication of the photo - just waiting for some tweaks from our web designer). This year our display will look very similar! But we have some more new designs of greeting cards and also some new woolly animal art prints. Our budgies art print has been very popular already [caption id="attachment_7702" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Budgies in Love print[/caption] Within our greeting cards, all things Valentine's have been going well, which we would all expect, as are our new Mr and Mrs range of woolly animals. What is it about pigs that we all love so much?
